A lot of clients find me via word of mouth, through google searches and by way of the relationships I’ve built with local midwives. And then there is the odd time where a client comes to me in the most random and awesome way. I met Jocelyn and Dustin through my love of a good cup of espresso and facebook marketplace. I reached out to Jocelyn one evening (when I probably should have been sleeping) and arranged to pick up the espresso machine she had listed. When the time came to pick up, I let Jocelyn know I had been at a birth all night and needed to reschedule. She was super okay with it, and turns out she was also expecting and looking for a photographer. She told me she hadn’t quite found what she was looking for- and I am going to say that’s because they hadn’t met me yet! I am so grateful that this all went down how it did, because Jocelyn + Dustin are the perfect fit for me as well. And, aren’t they just adorable? I had such a wonderful time shooting their maternity photos at home and in Golden Ears Park and I can’t wait to be there to document the love they share for this new little human when he/she arrives.
And, incase you were wondering… the moral of this story is… coffee is always important.
